Yin and Yang

The twelve Chinese astrological signs possess Yin (feminine) and Yang (masculine) components. They can be classified according to whether they possess more or less of one of the two components. We speak of Yin and Yang types. Thus the Dragon, the Snake, the Goat, the Rooster, the Tiger and the Horse are Yang. The Cat (or hare), the Monkey, the Dog, the Pig (or hog), the Rat, the Buffalo are Yin.

Above all, one must not believe that the “Yang” man is superior to the “Yin” man; on the contrary, although inclined toward more virilizing activities, the Yang man will be much more fragile than the Yin man, who possesses more feminine components
